Think You Might Have COVID-19? Check out the symptoms of COVID-19

Local News Summary:

  • Counties are opening in different Phases. Check with your county to see which phase you are in.
  • All of our self-storages are open and operating normally. Please refer to each stores website for possible office hour changes.
  • Masks are required inside any business in Washington State. Social distancing still required for safety.
  • Washington Governer Jay Inslee has declared a state-wide stay at home order as of 3/23/2019 for 2 weeks. All non essential businesses will be closed down and people are asked to stay home, although he did say that we are allowed to go outside, maintaining 6 ft of distance. 
  • Some of our stores have been impacted by the Governors directives. Please visit the store website to see what changes may effect you.
  • UW model shows the Coronavirus will peak in WA state on April 19th
  • The house has passed a 2 Trillion dollar historic bill which will bring emergency relief to those effected by COVID-19 in the US. The bill includes $1,200 checks to be sent to anyone who makes under $75,000 a year as well as extra unemployment relief. Read the 883 Page Bill.
  • While the majority of COVID-19 cases are in King and Snohomish counties, it has widely spread throughout Washington state
  • COVID-19 can stay on cardboard for up to 24 hours, plastic and steel for up to 72 hours. It is recommended that mailed packages be opened and discarded outside the home and then hands should be washed for 20 seconds.
  • There is a ban on all evictions until the end of April
  • National Parks have waived entrance Fees to encourage social distancing
  • Colleges and Universities have moved to online instruction
  • People are asked to keep 6 feet of distance from each other
  • Despite people buying large quantities of hand sanitizer, washing your hands with soap and water (scrubbing for at least 20 seconds) is more effective at killing the virus.
  • While there is no shortage of household supplies, retailers are having difficulty staying stocked due to people hoarding items. President Trump has asked people to please stop hoarding and only take what you need.
  • The federal government is going to be sending checks to the American people in the next few weeks. The amount will be based on the number of people in the household and only be offered to people within a certain income bracket.
  • Unemployment claims have flooded and crashed websites and kept phone lines full due to the immense temporary and permanent lay-offs due to the shut-down.
  • There is a national shortage of tests available. Call your healthcare provider before going to the hospital if you think you may have COVID-19
  • Hospitals are in need of protective wear donations. Our healthcare workers need masks and gloves
